    XD You don’t give higher salaries to make people work better you give higher saleries to stop them working elsewhere.

    Pretty obvious stuff here. A person/business will fail if it lacks purpose, so stop bailing a failed person/business out. (with the resources made by purposeful people/businesses)

    i.e. Financial, Occupational, and Economic Freedom

    oh come on! why is this study such a surprise. do you think that Karl marx , and other so called “socialist” thinkers did not come to this conclusions like a century ago?

    @edavidhwa I think you missed the point, of course money matters, everyone needs money to live in this world, but the point that the speaker is making is that money only motivates someone until the point where money is no longer an issue. For instance, if all it takes to make me content with my salary is $100k a year, and then I’ll produce the best products in the world, then there’s no reason to pay me $120k, and in fact it may be to my detriment.

    @zelrikriandooo I agree, after discussing this with my nephew who sent me this link after you’ve reached a certain wage threshold more money becomes less of an incentive and other things become a greater incentive.

    @edavidhwa That’s fine :) . I d say it s the lack of money that motivates, after a certain threshold, it shouldn’t.

    @zelrikriandooo All things being equal money still motivates.Yes ultimately people learn that they want other things in their career that outweigh money to them but you equal that out and money still motivates. Like any idiot knows.
